I'm so excited to introduce you all to Emily Clark, who has quickly become a wonderful and essential part of our Makerie team. Emily knew the event intimately as a very involved volunteer our first two years and it was a natural fit to officially bring her on board this year. Little did I know how much she would bring to the table ~ not only with her keen attention to detail (which is something I appreciate so much!), but with her abundant creative ideas and the grace in which she handles all situations. I can describe Emily with three c's ~ calm, creative and capable. Well of course she's all that and more ~ thoughtful, an amazing mom, a musician, a beautiful friend, and a very talented chef (yes, that's quite a lucky bonus! :) She has been very hard at work helping to cross all our t's and dot those i's and it's been a truly awesome and refreshing experience sharing all that goes on behind the scenes with such an amazing person.
Beyond her work with the Makerie, Emily is a creative force to be reckoned with and has some pretty fantastic plans up her own sleeve that I can't wait to see unfold. She recently started a darling blog ~ Tea With Lola ~ that is filled with sweet, lovely, thoughtful ideas about food, fun and childhood wonder that you'll definitely want to add to your daily reads. A huge heartfelt thank you to Emily for bringing the best, most positive, calm energy to the Makerie and for being such a precious gift to me and to so many other people. She's an absolute gem (the rare find kind!) and I can't wait for you all to meet her.
